The Terrible Towel is the rally towel that is used by the Steelers Nation. It was a tradition started by the Steelers radio broadcaster Myron Cope in 1975. Cope suggested that the fans bring a yellow or black towel to the game to show support for the team. The tradition stuck and The Terrible Towel can be seen waving at Steelers games today, especially at home games.
