Black & Gold Legends

Here are some of my personal favorite Pittsburgh Steelers Hall Of Famers:

Terry Bradshaw:

The Blonde Bomber played 14 years for the Steelers, won 4 Super Bowls, and was the Super Bowl MVP twice during his tenure. Bradshaw was known for his incredibly strong arm and his ability to call his own plays in the huddle. Terry was a fan of the bright lights and always seemed to shine the brightest on the big stages. His Super Bowl performances were outstanding, although his amazing “Steel Curtain” defense also deserves a ton of credit for those rings.

“Mean Joe” Greene:

“Mean Joe” Greene (aka Charles Edward Greene) played 12 years for the Steelers, won 4 Super Bowls, was selected to the Pro Bowl 10 times, and won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award twice! “Mean Joe” was a monstrosity on the field, standing 6′ 4″ tall and weighing in at 275 lbs. He was the pivotal piece to the “Steel Curtain” defense that dominated all NFL offenses during its run. “Mean Joe” is also recognizable from his famous Coca-Cola commercial (pictured above) where he trades his jersey for a young fan’s Coke. “Mean Joe” played with the spirit and tenacity that make the Steelers organization one of the toughest teams in the league.

Franco Harris:

Franco Harris played 11 years for the Steelers, was selected to the Pro Bowl 9 times, won 4 Super Bowls, and was the Super Bowl IX MVP. Harris was a fan favorite during his time on the Steelers. The fans spawned “Franco’s Italian Army” and they wore Army helmets with his number on them while they cheered him on during games. Franco was also a key part to one of the NFL’s most famous plays, “The Immaculate Reception”.
